Harry Redknapp: ‘She treats me like a baby’ I’m A Celebrity star makes wife admission

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner Harry Redknapp, 72, claimed his spouse Sandra treats him “like a baby” at home. The former football manager branded himself “useless” as he revealed Sandra does most of the jobs at home. He said: “I can’t cook, I’ve never written anything. I don’t even have an email. “I can’t work the computer or anything like that. I’ve never wrote a letter in my life.”

He added on Chris Evans’ Virgin Radio show: “I wouldn’t cope without Sandra.

“I’m useless. She treats me like a baby – she does everything for me.”

Harry and Sandra married in 1967 and have two sons together; football pundit Jamie, 44, and Mark.

During his stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Here! he regularly gushed over Sandra and their marriage.

After winning the show, Harry revealed the real reason for going on the reality show was because his grandchildren urged him to.

He told The Mirror: “I’d never seen even one second of the programme.

“I had no intention of doing it, but my grandkids were like, ‘Oh go on Pop, please. Don’t be scared of Kiosk Kev, he won’t hurt you.’ I’m like, ‘Who is Kiosk Kev?’

Despite being a an early favourite to win the show, he admitted he had thought about pulling out of the show.

He added to the publication: “Even the week of the show I was still half-and-half, I could easily have not done it, but I thought, ‘I’m here now, I’ve got to.’”

Harry went on to say despite the gruelling Bushtucker trials, the hardest part of the shoe was being away from Sandra.

He continued: “We usually speak all day, every day. I love being with her. I just love her, she’s my life.”

He also added he was “scared” to do the show after hearing gruesome stories from Razor Ruddock, 50, who starred in the programme in 2003.

The father-of-two told Jonathan Ross on his self-titled show: “Razor said, ‘It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life… It was unbelievable.’

“That scared me. I nearly pulled out about a week before but I went with it in the end. It was touch and go to be honest.”

Harry and Razor have reunited for the brand new two-part show, Harry’s Heroes: The Full English.

The new show fronted by Harry and John Barnes, 55, sees retired footballers from the 1990s getting back into shape and on the pitch.
