George Clooney and Amal Clooney are picture perfect couple in chic matching outfits

Actor George Clooney, 57, looked every inch the Hollywood heartthrob in a navy pinstriped suit, which he wore with a pale blue shirt. His human rights lawyer wife, 41, oozed sophisticated glamour as she stepped out with him in an asymmetric jumpsuit with wide legs. The structured number boasted a statement leather belt and crisp pleats down the front of the trousers. Amal Clooney accessorised with a leopard print box bag and delicate gold earrings.

She added a pop of colour with bold red lipstick and opted for a subtle make-up look with lashings of mascara and a touch of kohl liner.

Amal wore her chocolate locks in a loose mane of curls and completed the ensemble with navy stiletto court shoes.

The couple are being honoured for their humanitarian work through the Clooney Foundation for Justice at the People’s Postcode Lottery Charity Gala in Edinburgh.

George and Amal were snapped arriving on the red carpet as they put their arms around each other and posed for the cameras.

One picture showed her appearing to giggle, entertained as her husband called out to someone out of shot.

Asked how it felt to be in the Scottish city, George said: “It’s great, thanks for the weather, it’s nice out.”

The couple previously spoke out about their visit, saying: “We are thrilled to be attending the People’s Postcode Lottery Charity Gala in Edinburgh.

“It is a perfect setting to highlight the urgent need to protect millions of the world’s most vulnerable people from human rights abuses.”

Today’s event celebrates the work done by charities which are supported by the lottery’s players.

The couple also attended the Prince’s Trust Awards, hosted by Prince Charles, 70, in London last night, joining the line-up of stars celebrating the young people supported by the charity at the ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

Amal wore a Grecian-style white gown with a single dramatic cape sleeve, while George went classic in a black suit and bow-tie.

George and Amal first met in Lake Cuomo, Italy, in 2013 and he asked her to marry him the following year.

In September 2014 they tied the knot in Italy, with a star-studded guest list including A-list pals Matt Damon, 48, Cindy Crawford, 53, and her husband Rande Gerber, 56.

In 2017, the couple welcomed twins Ella and Alexander.

Gushing about their children during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, George previously said: “Ella looks more like Amal, thank God.”

He also joked playfully that his son was like “moose”, saying: “He’s a mood. Literally, he just sits there and eats.”
