Fallout 76 update 7 PATCH NOTES news and Wild Appalachia DLC

After a recent delay, Fallout 76 developer Bethesda is finally ready to release update 7.

With a March 13 release date, the big new Fallout 76 patch ushers in the free Wild Appalachia DLC.

But Fallout 76 fans won’t be able to play the Wild Appalachia content right away, because Bethesda is taking the game offline for server maintenance.

Offline server maintenance starts at 10am EDT in the US, or 2pm GMT if you live in the UK.

Full Fallout 76 update 7 patch notes will be revealed after the game is taken offline on March 13.

“We’re planning to bring Fallout 76 offline around 10:00 a.m. EDT tomorrow, March 13, across all platforms to perform maintenance and apply updates,” reads a Bethesda post.

“During this time, you will be unable to log into or play Fallout 76, and we’ll keep you updated in this thread to let you know as soon as you’re able to jump back into Appalachia.

“Patch notes for tomorrow’s update will be posted after maintenance begins.”

Ahead of the big update, Bethesda has released a selection of early patch notes and information about the Wild Appalachia DLC.

The free Wild Appalachia content update introduces a range of new missions and features, including a brand new crafting and distilling system.

It all begins with the Wasted on Nukashine quest, which will introduce players to some of the new gameplay.

“Your path to becoming the Wasteland’s premiere bartender will begin near Vault-Tec University,” reads a Bethesda post.

“There you will relive the glory days of VTU’s finest and discover the mischief they got up to outside of the classroom.

“Your continued studies will lead you to a notorious speakeasy, introduce you to Biv—Appalachia’s tipsiest robot, and teach you to craft the illicit Nukashine using the all-new Brewing Station.”

The Brewing Station is a new kind of workbench that lets players create a variety of drinks. Drinks provide players with positive stat boosts and negative side effects.

Needless to say, Fallout 76 update 7 also provides a variety of weapon balance changes, building restrictions and challenge tracking.

Energy weapons are said to last longer than before, while weapon damage is increased on Heavy Weapons.

Bethesda is planning to make budget adjustments to CAMP and Workshops, and will introduce no-build zones throughout the map.

One of the most welcome new additions is the ability to track challenges by opening the map.
