Galaxy Note 9 owners should check for this vital Samsung update NOW

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 debuted back in August last year but remains one of the best Android flagships around.

That is because the handset has a gorgeous display, a huge battery and a great camera system.

Additionally, the Note 9 is also unique thanks to its retention of the series’ signature S Pen that allows owners to quickly jot down information.

Although the phablet launched running Android 8.1 Oreo, it has since been upgraded to Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s One UI skin running on top of it.

The improvement not only introduced a huge aesthetic change for owners, but it also added laudable new functionality such as a system-wide dark mode.

The latest update for the Galaxy Note 9 delivers the March 2019 security patch.

Samsung has already noted the improvement addresses eight critical vulnerabilities and numerous other high-risk issues.

SamMobile reported the March security patch has already started rolling out for Galaxy Note 9 owners in Egypt, Switzerland, South Africa, Nordic territories, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Hungary to name a few.

The release takes the phone’s software version to N960FXXS2CSC1.

It is worth noting Samsung does not usually release updates for its devices at once.

That means if you are in the UK for instance and you are unable to see the download there is no need to panic.

Instead, it is advised you regularly check your device for updates.

This can be done by heading to the phablet’s settings menu and heading to the “software update” section.

The March 2019 update has already started rolling out for the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy S9.

Patches for these devices appear to be arriving in stages, too.
