Rachel Riley Twitter: Countdown star spills all on encounter with drunken Man U star

Countdown star Rachel Riley, 33, put on a boob-baring display in a plunging red ensemble as she posed alongside Louis van Gaal, 67, on a night out. The Manchester United supporter stood out with her red lipstick and seemed in high spirits standing next to the former footballer. Rachel took to Twitter to share her “favourite memory” with Louis with her Twitter followers. The blonde beauty wrote: “My favourite memory of Louis Van Gaal, was hands down when he got smashed at the player of the year dinner and repeatedly thanked the saxophonist – she had played beautifully.

“A popular character @ManUtd away from the pitch. Congratulations on your retirement #LVG.”

Olly Murs also commented on the picture, writing: “I remember that night,” followed by crying with laughter emojis.

Many of her other social media fans flocked to her page to comment on the upload.

One user wrote: “I agree, great character.”

Another praised Rachel’s appearance, commenting: “Stunning.”

Louis announced his retirement yesterday revealing he has “no ambition to be a technical director or a TV pundit”.

He added to Dutch TV show VTBL: “My wife Truus gave up her job for me 22 years ago, and followed me when I went abroad. I told her I would quit as a coach when I turned 55, but instead kept going until I was 65.

“She is entitled to have a life with me outside of football. I can say she is very happy.

“I think I could have worked as a technical director.”

No stranger to sharing her thoughts on the latest football news, Rachel recently reacted to Jose Mourinho’s leaving Manchester United back in December.

Jose replaced former manager Louis at the end of the 2015 – 2016 season.

A statement from the club read: “A caretaker-manager will be appointment until the end of the season while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager.”

Rachel shared an article about the story with her followers with the caption: “News!!!!!”

She also expressed her shock by adding a flushed face emoji.

Piers Morgan also shared his thoughts on the news, writing: “Jose Mourinho will now be gleefully pulverised by all and sundry.

“But I love the guy. Brilliant manager, great character, incredible track record.

“Too many overpaid mediocre flash git egos in that United team,” he added. “Jose will be back soon, winning big trophies again.”

Countdown airs weekdays on Channel 4 from 2.10pm.
