Cheltenham 2019: Attendees flash the flesh at races despite struggle with blustery weather

Cheltenham Racecourse is once again hosting the 2019 Cheltenham Festival this week. With the festivities of the four-day event having kicked off, many people have been eager to see how the horses will fare in the upcoming races. Meanwhile, others may be more interested to see what attendees are wearing. While last year may have been chilly, the first day of this year’s festival has been even more miserable when it comes to the weather.

However, plenty of people have shown they’re determined to prioritise their style over practicality – with daring ensembles aplenty.

One woman, who was spotted clutching her hair in place beneath a huge umbrella, stepped out in a white crochet co-ord.

The ensemble was comprised of high waisted trousers which had been adorned with frills and a matching long-sleeved crop top.

The cut of the near-see-through garment saw the attendee unveil her bare midriff.

Another person had donned a leopard mini dress and black heeled ankle boots for the occasion, as well as a black blazer.

In a bid to protect her look from the wet weather, the woman had draped the hood of a quilted jacket over her head.

Ensuring she maximised her chances of staying dry, she also grasped an umbrella overhead.

Meanwhile, another arrival saw a woman dressed in a black top and grey skirt cut to just above her knee.

Also donning a pair of heels for the occasion, she made her way to the races with only her jacket carried overhead as protection from the rain.

Elsewhere, someone seemed more than happy to compromise their glamorous look in the name of keeping dry.

One woman, who had gone bare legged in a skirt on the wintery day, sported white plastic bags on top of her shoes.

Another person opted for a black and white check dress.

She teamed it with a red and black hat which featured the same pattern, as well as knee-high black boots.

Someone else opted for a longer, figure-hugging midi dress.

The outfit featured pink and green floral detailing, and a drop hem.

She teamed it with a huge tear-shaped fascinator.
