Star Wars 9: Shock DEATHS as multiple characters are killed? 'MORE than you expect'

Another post claiming to be a legitimate leak has appeared on Reddit – and it seems to be convincing fans, having been 91% Upvoted. The upcoming movie will be the last one in the Star Wars Skywalker saga, and the concluding third of the sequel trilogy. And regardless of where it ends, it is claimed here that many familiar faces will not survive until the final frame.

The alleged leak, posted by user arcantiger after being spotted on 4chan, claims that “there are more deaths than you would expect and there are deaths that you may not expect.”

The idea that Luke Skywalker comes back to life is also shot down as “nonsense”.

And the highlight of the film is said to be the general trajectory of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), whose possibility of redemption has been a big talking point among fans.

The ‘leak’ reads: “The highlight of the movie gotta be Ren’s arc and the sheer scale that rivals ROTK [Return of the King].

“That’s what impressed me the most and the enthusiasm is shared across the board.

“Do not interpret this as that something is wrong with other aspects of the movie. It’s just that these stand out more than anything else and people are really hyped.”

Star Wars’ last outing, The Last Jedi, was written and directed by Rian Johnson, but Episode 9 returns the trilogy to the man who started it with 2015’s The Force Awakens: JJ Abrams.

He confirmed just last month that filming had been completed; leaving fans waiting a little longer to find out the blockbuster’s title.

“It feels impossible, but today wrapped photography on Episode IX,” he tweeted.

“There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. I’m forever indebted to you all.”

The movie isn’t the only Star Wars production due this year: there will also be new TV series The Mandalorian.

Star Wars 9 is out on December 19 in the UK.
