James Jordan and the BBC: The REAL REASON James Jordan fell out with Strictly bosses

Strictly Come Dancing ex-professional James Jordan is taking part in tonight’s (Sunday, March 10) Dancing on Ice final. Jordan will take to the ice in tonight’s show, which starts at 6pm on ITV. James Jordan famously fell out with the Strictly team and you can read on to find out why.

Why did James Jordan fall out with Strictly bosses?

James joined the cast of Strictly Come Dancing 13 years ago in 2006 alongside wife Ola Jordan.

The dancer became hugely popular, and was famous as the “bad boy” of the show, frequently hitting back at judges’ comments towards his partners.

He left the show’s cast in 2014 after being offered a ‘reduced’ role on the show.

The BBC announced Jordan would be leaving the show alongside fellow strictly pro Artem Chigvintsev.

A Strictly spokeswoman said: “James Jordan was offered a role still on the show.

“It wasn’t to be partnered with a celebrity, but it was to be involved in specials such as Children in Need, that sort of thing. But he declined that.

“He was offered a reduced role on the show.”

However, James took to Twitter after the announcement implying there was more to his decision than met the eye.

He tweeted: “…Do not believe everything the BBC have written in their statement.”

Since he has quit the show, Jordan has not revealed any other details as to what happened between him and the Strictly showrunners.

He has however quashed rumours he would have to step out of the Dancing on Ice competition due to injuries.

James tweeted to his loyal fans about recent rumours, saying he was asked about his injuries but has decided to stay on regardless.

He said: “Just to clarify some of the rumours that I might have to pull out of @dancingonice.

“I was asked about any injuries of which I have lots… but never considered pulling out.

“I am loving the whole experience and loving the support even more.

“I can only do my best, love you all.”

In this week’s episode, James revealed he had made a blunder, however.

Skating partner Alexandra asked him if he had done a ‘double’, to which the skater admitted he had not.

He told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “Alexandra said to me, ‘Did you do the double? Did you do the double?’

“I was like just don’t say anything maybe they didn’t see it.

“So, hats off to Wes [Nelson] because he did amazing with it.”

Holly gasped: “I didn’t even notice that.”

James replied: “I just wanted to do a single one and leave it out.

“I tried, I tried.”
