Holly Willoughby weight loss: From diet plan to fitness – how does ITV star stay in shape?

As a TV presenter and Instagram sensation, Holly Willoughby is certainly well-known by many. She often gives glimpses at her life via her official Instagram channel, which boasts 5.2 million followers. But, one thing the Dancing on Ice co-host has kept relatively quiet on is the topic of diets and weight loss. There’s a particular reason for this, with the This Morning presenter previously having told Prima she doesn’t want to share too much information on what she eats as she didn’t “want to encourage eating disorders”.

“I try not to focus too much on my appearance,” the mum-of-three added.

“As long as I’m being healthy, that’s good enough for me.

“I’m quite active and I try not to let the way I look be the main focus because it’s not the important thing.”

In a separate interview, Holly said: “I’m always one of those people that if you feel happy and healthy that’s all that matters.”

And, while little is known about what she eats, she has shared some details about her diet over the years.

A source told The Sun that Holly tends to stick to a low-carb diet, which tends to feature fish, some chicken, and plenty of vegetables.

However, an Instagram post shared after the National Television Awards 2018 proved that she also enjoys other foods.

The snap, captioned “breakfast”, showed the TV star grinning as she held a slice of pepperoni pizza.

It seems that the This Morning star supports her seemingly balanced diet with plenty of exercise too.

Shortly after the brith of her daughter Belle, back in 2011, The Sun reported that Holly had been taking private pilates classes.

Trainer Lynne Robinson told the publication that these work outs in her home had helped her to strengthen and tone her muscles.

“Holly had postnatal mat work classes which concentrated on strengthening and toning her core,” she said.

“The exercises help trim the waist and flatten the stomach.”

A different celebrity who has spoken openly about their weight loss is Dancing on Ice star Gemma Collins.

The 38-year-old was a contestant on this year’s series of the show, and the rigorous training regime saw her burn thousands of calories per time.

She went on to lose a huge two and a half stone.

During an interview on This Morning, the reality TV star told Holly and fellow Dancing on Ice host Phillip Schofield: “I feel so much better. I can just move a lot more. I can do my shoes up.

“I had about three tyres round my middle and they’ve gone. I’m still a bigger girl, but when I got on the scales I was shocked.”
