Alien base on the Moon? Google map is '100 percent PROOF of ET base' on the Moon

The sensational claim was made by prominent UFO expert Scott C Waring, who runs the website UFO Sightings Daily. The UFO-hunter cast his accusations of foul play at the US Government and search engine giant Google after finding a bizarre photo of the Moon on Google Earth. Mr Waring claimed the lunar photo, which shows a rectangular shape in the Moon’s Zeeman crater, is a genuine alien structure. The alien aficionado said he came across the discovery by accident, by browsing an older version of Google Earth’s lunar scans.

This has led Mr Waring to accuse Google of conspiring to erase all evidence of alien activity on the Moon.

He said: “I was exploring Google maps, free to download, when I found the infamous ET base at Zeeman crater.

“I was astonished that Google had not deleted it yet.

“Google had already deleted the ET base from both the Visible Imager and the Colorised Terrain photo map.

“Lucky for us, the Lunar Orbiter Mosaic map has less editing, so far, but I’m sure this won’t last.

“So I made this video, which is 100 percent proof that Google is working with the US Government to hide the existence of alien life from the public.”

In a video uploaded to YouTube, Mr Waring pointed out the anomaly, which he believes is an alien base.

The supposed artificial structure sits on the western edge of the Zeeman crater, the remnant of an ancient space rock impact on the far side of the Moon.

This particular crater has been at the heart of Moon-based conspiracy theories for years, with many UFO enthusiasts claiming it houses an alien base or a portal to other dimensions.

Conspiracy theorists have dubbed it the Zeeman Anomaly after it was photographed in 1994 by NASA’s Deep Space Program Science Experiment (CLEMENTINE).

Mr Waring said: “Google is making a covert war that the public doesn’t know even exists right now under our noses – the war on information.

“A war that fights to keep the public in the dark, and the information out of our minds. That is something I cannot allow.”

However, newer photos of the Zeeman crater snapped by NASA in stunning High Definition show there are no artificial structures around the lunar feature.

Pictures snapped by NASA’s The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) show the rolling slopes and pockmarked surface of Zeeman mons.

Instead, the “alien base” presented by Mr Waring can be explained in two ways.

Firstly, it is a so-called stitching glitch in the mosaic of photos that make up Google Earth’s view of the Moon.

Secondly, it can be explained by the effect of pareidolia, which is an unusual trick of the mind.

Pareidolia causes people to see shapes, faces and patterns in otherwise unassuming objects – such as faces in clouds or alien bases on the Moon.

NASA explained: “Pareidolia is the psychological phenomenon where people see recognisable shapes in clouds, rock formations, or otherwise unrelated objects or data.

“There are many examples of this phenomenon on Earth and in space.”
