James Jordan: Dancing On Ice 2019 star’s wife Ola Jordan makes ‘skin and bone’ jibe

James Jordan, 40, is hoping to skate his way to victory on the ITV series of Dancing on Ice but the skater has revealed his 15kg weight loss has not been popular with his wife Ola Jordan, 36, who preferred him when he was bigger. The former Strictly Come Dancing professional’s gruelling training hours have seen him return to peak fitness, dropping from 95 kg to just 80 kg. Speaking to BT TV news, James spilled: “I was out of shape and in a different stage of my life. “But when I knew I was doing the show I knew I had to do something about it.”

The Dancing On Ice finalist said his former Strictly pro dancer wife Ola, is not a big fan of his slimmer frame and said he is just “skin and bone.”

He told the publication: “She prefers me bigger. I think it’s because it’s more manly.

“I put on weight and muscle and she said I was more cuddly. Now she says I’m just skin and bone.”

James has been married to his former BBC co-star since 2003.

Meanwhile, the Dancing on Ice finalist was encouraged by his wife Ola to “keep going” with the show after he revealed he “ripped open his hernia” last week.

On his Twitter account, he told his 245,000 followers: “THANK YOU EVERYONE for all of your kind messages.

“YES I have ripped my hernia open again but nothing will stop me performing on @dancingonice until you guys stop voting.”

He continued: “And I never said I was pulling out! I know my body very well and I will be fine… love you all.”

James came second on the leaderboard on last week’s episode and will be hoping to come out on top this weekend.

Speaking to the Daily Star, he admitted he it is harder to manage his injuries the older he gets.

“I’ve ripped open my hernia,” James told the newspaper. “I’ve also got lower back pain because of it.”

He added: “I’m falling to bits, managing injuries is getting harder as you get older.”

Meanwhile, James has taken to Twitter to thank his fans for getting him through to Sunday’ final show.

He wrote: “I’ve been on the ice all day but wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for getting @AlexandraLukasz and me to the final of @dancingonice.

“It’s bitter sweet because my mates @BrianMcFadden and @almurph18 were sadly eliminated. Gutted for them because of the way it happened.”

Dancing On Ice 2019 final airs Sunday on ITV at 6pm.
