Everton team news vs Newcastle: Predicted line up – ONE change as Silva reveals dilemma

Everton are out to return to winning ways when they face Newcastle at St James’ Park this afternoon.

Marco Silva’s men drew 0-0 last time out as they went head-to-head with Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

And securing three points would be ideal as they seek to put a buffer between them and 11th-place Leicester.

Everton boss Silva has admitted he has a dilemma on his mind ahead of the trip to Newcastle.

“It is one of the most difficult [team selections],” Silva said. “The answers are coming from the players, every day.

“They know I have a plan and strategy and I have to pick the players who fit best into the strategy and plan for the match.

“But at the end, they will be part of the decision. They have to show to me during the week [they deserve to play] – and, of course, when I take some decisions nobody expects, they are coming from the training sessions. And the players know that.”

It is anticipated that Silva will restore Richardson to his starting XI against Newcastle.

However, Andre Gomes will not slot back in, with Idrissa Gueye and Morgan Schneiderlin sitting deep instead.

That duo will play in front of a settle back five of Jordan Pickford, Seamus Coleman, Michael Keane, Kurt Zouma and Lucas Digne.

Further forward, Richarlison will occupy the right flank, with Gylfi Sigurdsson at No 10 and Bernard on the left.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is poised to lead the line for Everton in the Premier League clash, with Leighton Baines their only confirmed absentee.
