Crufts 2019 LIVE STREAM: Watch Crufts 2019 Day 3 – Agility, flyball and heelwork

Crufts is always exciting to watch, with a host of cute contestants taking part in various agility, obedience and movement to music. The “world’s greatest dog show” takes place at the Birmingham NEC arena and around 27,000 dogs are expected to be at Crufts 2019. Of these, around 21,000 are competing for the much coveted Best In Show trophy.

Last year, the Best In Show award was granted to Tease the Whippet and owner Yvette Short from Edinburgh.

Taking place in the UK, Crufts is an international event with more than 20,000 of the competitors travelling to the NEC Arena from around the world.

One event taking place today is the Golden Retriever Display Team – who have stunned audiences with their impressive obedience routines set to music.

The Southern Golden Retriever Display Team consists of 16 Golden Retrievers and their handlers and is one of the most popular events at Crufts.

Crufts is named after founder Charles Cruft, who was a manager for a dog biscuit manufacturer.

The first show was named First Great Terrier Show and took place in 1886 with 57 classes and 600 entries.

The first show called Cruft’s Greatest Dog Show took place in 1891 and was the first which saw dogs of all breeds invited to participate and had a staggering 2,000 dogs.

Today this has grown to the more than 27,000 dogs attending in 2019.
