After months of leaks and rumours, Episode IX has finally unveiled the first official footage, while fans still wait for the official trailer and title. The screening happened during a major Disney shareholders presentation when the studio shows off its portfolio of upcoming projects to demonstrate how healthy the business is. The same happened two years ago and was packed with major new scenes and reveals about The Last Jedi. The lucky few were also shown clips from Avengers Endgame, Aladdin and Lion King.
Of course, this new information is firmly categorised as spoilers so stop reading here. No major Star Wars 9 twists or plot points are revealed but plenty of tantalising scene descriptions.
The ten scenes were described by Twitter user Scott Ladewig who stresses he is not a Star Wars spoiler not does he post theories or rumours. Backed by another Twitter user dizparks, who also went to the shareholders meeting, he has given brief descriptions of all-new scenes, as follows:
“Kylo Ren in a white room looking at the Vader helmet.
“Lando briefly. .. yesterday people asked about Lando and whether he was wearing yellow and/or a cape. @disparks and I just remembered him wearing purple.”

“Somebody asked me earlier if we saw a new character in the Ep IX and I didn’t recall, but we actually did see a glimpse of someone new who appeared to be riding some animal (?). Guessing it was Naomi Ackie’s character.
“We saw a blockade runner in an abandoned looking hangar.
“An explosion knocking Stormtroopers in a starship hangar bay.
“I think we saw the sidekick droid yesterday. During the behind-the-scenes segment, we saw BB-8 on-set, and to the left was something that I assumed was just part of the mechanism to control that BB-8.”
“Rey, Finn, Poe in Falcon cockpit. Rey with Chewie’s bowcaster. Finn in some abandoned looking ship interior.
“So dizparks just reminded me that we saw a marketplace (?) scene with Rey walking through and some aliens….. It was more of like wooden stands and a number of characters in your classic alien Star Wars character outfits. Did look sandy though.”
