Roman Reigns: WWE star gives his verdict on Ronda Rousey WrestleMania main event megamatch

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey looks set to defend her title against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35.

The three WWE megastars seem ready to make history by becoming the first ever women to headline Mania on April 7 at the MetLife Stadium in New York.

And Reigns is adamant that the female roster deserves that honour after all their amazing achievements in recent years and is certain they will make a huge success of it.

WWE’s Women’s Revolution has seen women competing in the first ever all-female Money in the Bank, Hell in a Cell, Elimination Chamber and Royal Rumble Matches, to name a few.

Vince McMahon’s promotion also staged the first ever all-women’s Pay-Per-View event Evolution which made a huge impact in the world of wrestling.

Reigns now believes that it would only make sense for all of the inspiring competitors to take the Women’s Revolution to a new level by performing in the main event of the Showcase of the Immortals.

The Big Dog told Sky Sports: “What better way to showcase what we’ve been doing for years with our women?

“I stand firmly behind these strong women and I’m so proud of them and the strength and the determination they’ve shown.

“They’re role models for our own children.

“My daughter is 11 years old and these women are showing her the way and showing her that women can do anything men can do, even better sometimes.

“They’re all great examples and if women can handle giving birth and all of the crazy things that come along with nurturing life, then why can’t they main-event a sports entertainment show?

“They can do everything that is super-hard in life and I know they can knock that out of the park too.”

Lynch will battle Charlotte at Fastlane this Sunday at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Rousey isn’t expected to feature at the Pay-Per-View event but a surprise appearance can’t be ruled out.
