During a meeting at the White House for the American Workforce Policy Advisory board, Donald Trump mistakenly referred to Apple CEO Tim Cook as ’Tim Apple’. Following her father’s mistake, the First Daughter tweeted three laughing emojis in response as she attempted to laugh along with the people who were poking fun at the President. Although Ms Trump tried to take a humorous slant on the situation, she was attacked by other users on the social media platform.
Graham Clewes tweeted: “Getting someone’s name right is surely a sign of respect and courtesy.
“The humour exposes something sad, embarrassing, annoying and so very wrong.”
Teresa Hensley said: “You looked confused yesterday but it’s humorous today?! You realise your father is not fit to be President, right?”
Another said: “So you find your Dad’s senility funny! We don’t.”

At the time of his mistake, Trump was praising the tech mogul for contributions to the field.
He praised the Apple CEO for expanding across the country in order to provide more jobs.
As Trump said: “You’ve really put a big investment in our country.
“We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple.”

Despite the majority of the responses being aimed towards poking fun at the President, there were some other Twitter users who saw the funny side to Ms Trump’s response.
Julie Lopez replied saying: “Love your sense of humour Ivanka Trump!
“Our dad, who is 78, has these slip of the tongue moments often!”
One user even complimented the First Daughter saying that she “appreciated” her sense of humour.
