Brigitte Macron shows off her slender legs as she attends important event in Paris

Brigitte Macron, 65, was pictured with her husband, French President, Emmanuel Macron, 41, as they presented the Simone Veil prize at the Elysee Palace as part of International Women’s Day. France’s first Simone Veil prize went to a Cameroonian activist, Aissa Doumara Ngatansou, who has worked against forced marriages and other violence against girls and women. Brigitte also took time to pose outside the Elysee Palace, where the event took place, to pose with Sophie Cluzel, French minister for Disabled People. The former school teacher looked radiant as she sported her trademark deep tan and perfectly coiffed blonde locks.

For this occasion she decided to flash some leg in a knee length navy number.

But Brigitte made sure she was still wrapped up to some extent by wearing long sleeves.

The dress featured a high neck with ruching across the left side.

It was cinched in at the waist and the A line skirt gave the outfit a very formal feel.

She matched the dress with a pair of stiletto heels in the same colour as the dress.

International Women’s Day is a global day that celebrates women’s achievements socially, economically, culturally and politically.

She also wore a blue scarf, which she had draped around her neck and over her shoulders.

The President’s wife may be 65, but how does she stay looking so young?

While what she eats may not affect her looks, it seems that the former school teacher has a very simple diet plan which she follows each day.

According to Guillaume Gomez, head chef at the Elysee Palace, she requires her meals to be packed full with fruit and vegetable.

As part of her daily diet, Brigitte aims to consume 10 fruit and vegetables each day – particularly seasonal ones.

But, her culinary choices don’t follow the exact pattern each mealtime – as according to the chef, variety is key.
