‘Bring Manchester United on’ – Arsenal hero convinced Gunners will BEAT Solskjaer’s side

That is the verdict of Arsenal legend and BT Sport pundit Martin Keown.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has won all nine of his games away from Old Trafford since becoming Manchester United interim boss in December.

The Norwegian is yet to lose a domestic game, leading his side to the quarter-final of both the FA Cup and Champions League.

United knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup in January, winning 3-1 at the Emirates in the fourth round.

Keown says his former side were hampered on that night after losing Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis Papastathopoulos to injury.

And he believes Sunday’s match is the type of game that can turn Arsenal’s season.

“They’re consistent at home and it’s a home game,” Keown said.

“So bring Manchester United on. Maybe it’s the perfect game for Arsenal, just to go through the gears.

“It could be the turning point in their season.

“I think they need a really big result and who better to do it against than Manchester United at the weekend.

“Arsenal lost both central defenders on the night [in the FA Cup], it was a disappointing night for Arsenal.

“I think it’s a game that Arsenal can win but they need to see who’s available, lick their wounds and come back fighting.

“I think the Arsenal fans will demand, the atmosphere will be white hot.

“Both clubs are at a little bit of a crossroads, sleeping giants.

“Manchester United, an amazing response to their new manager going in.

“It’s about time we saw something from Arsenal in the same direction.”

Paul Pogba will be back for United after missing the win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday due to suspension.

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira will begin his three-game suspension after being sent off against Tottenham last Saturday.
