Weight loss: Coronation Street’s Tina O’Brien reveals how she lost three stone

Weight loss is not easy, especially with a new baby.

However, Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien managed to use an impressive three stone after she had her first child.

The blonde ITV soap star revealed she had assumed getting back to her pre-baby weight would be easy.

Instead, the actress found she needed to hire some extra help.

Tina put on 42lbs during her pregnancy with daughter Scarlett, who she gave birth to in October 2008.

She told Closer: “It serves me right because I thought, ‘I’m naturally slim – it will just drop off!’ But it really didn’t!

“When I first had Scarlett I did absolutely nothing. I didn’t want to be running round the block with a week-old baby!”

However, the actress soon hired a personal trainer to help her slim down.

The actress achieved her eight stone figure after working with the professional.

Tina dated her on-screen husband actor Ryan Thomas for six years.

The pair had their daughter in 2008 and split in 2009.

She is now with her partner Adam Crofts, and the pair had a child in October 2014.

As well as acting in Coronation Street, Tina has appeared in Call the Midwife and Casualty.

Another soap star, Chelsee Healey’s weight loss has impressed many.

The 30-year-old from Salford came to fame in Waterloo Road, playing Janeece Bryant in the programme from 2006 to 2012.

She also shed weight after giving birth to her first child.

Chelsee, who is now a size 6, gave birth to her daughter in 2017.

She has revealed how she lost two stone after giving birth to her child.

How did she lose the weight? She told the Sun: “I’m lucky, I’ve snapped back. I haven’t stopped eating but I’ve just lost the 2st I gained.”
