The Lakers were already facing an uphill battle against the Clippers even before tip-off when it was announced Brandon Ingram would miss the game with a shoulder injury.
His scoring streak had been one highlight of the Lakers’ recent poor run.
However, the Lakers kept pace with the Clippers throughout the game without one of their top scorers.
That was until the fourth quarter though when Kuzma collapsed to the floor in pain.
As he went up for a lay-up, it looked as though Kuzma rolled his right ankle as he jumped up.
And the 23-year-old clearly was in some distress as he immediately screeched out as he hit the floor.
He needed some help leaving the court before heading to the changing room to receive further treatment.
The Lakers were still in the game at the time of Kuzma’s injury, down by eight with six minutes left.
