Christopher Alan Pallies is known for his time in the WWE during the 1980s and 1990s.

And Bundy’s lifelong pal David Herro, a wrestling promoter, posted on social media to inform his fans of the tragic news.

He wrote: “Today we lost a legend and a man I consider family. Rest in peace Chris. We love you.

“Thank you for believing in me.”

The cause of death is unknown at this stage.

Bundy tweeted hours before his death, with the WWE legend promoting a meet and greet with fans.

He was set to appear with Al Snow at a Wrestle Con next month.

The tweet read: “I will be with @TheRealAlSnow at @wrestlecon at the @COLLARxELBOW booth.

“Advance autographs and photo ops at http://BlizzardBrawl.com  or contact @DavidHerro #FIVE #WWE #raw.”

Tributes have poured in following the news about Bundy, with WWE legend Mick Foley hailing the former wrestler.

He wrote on Twitter: “Hate to hear about the passing of King Kong Bundy.

“He was so cool to me when I walked in that @WWE dressing room as an absolute nobody in 1986.”
