James Bond 25 title: Barbara Broccoli SPEAKS OUT on those Shatterhand rumours

Even before Danny Boyle was briefly director on James Bond 25, the rumoured title of the new movie was Shatterhand. Allegedly, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade’s script was set to be a remake of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Whatever the case, the working title of Craig’s fifth and final Bond movie is in fact Shatterhand. While fans have been speculating that this is the real name of Bond 25, producer Broccoli has now confirmed it’s something else entirely.

According to MI6 HQ, an autograph hunter caught Broccoli in London and asked her to sign a fan-created Shatterhand logo.

In the picture shared online, Broccoli clearly wrote, “It’s not” with an arrow pointed at the title.

So by the looks of things Shatterhand really is just the working title for Bond 25.

Nevertheless, the real title reveal looks likely to happen pretty soon.

Shooting on Bond 25 is set to begin on April 5, according to Q star Ben Whishaw.

The actor was asked by a fan who met him on the stairs of the Victoria & Albert museum last week.

And the title and cast of a new Bond movie are traditionally announced at a press conference at Pinewood Studios a few days before filming begins.

Spectre, the most recent 007 movie to be released, had a press conference on a Thursday before shooting began on the following Monday.

April 5th this year is a Friday, so perhaps Monday, April 1st will be the big day fans are treated to Bond 25’s title and cast news?

Certainly, sometime that week seems more than likely.

But if not Shatterhand, just what could the real title be? Luckily the wait won’t be long to find out.

Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas on April 8, 2020.
