Danny Miller: ‘It can be difficult’ Emmerdale’s Aaron Dingle speaks on co-star amid drama

Emmerdale actor Danny Miller, 28, spilled all the details in a recent interview where he admitted he feels “lucky” to work with Ryan Hawley, 33, who plays his partner Robert Sugden, and the pair have become “so close”. However, the star said the most challenging part of his role is leaning in for a smooch with his co-star whilst sporting a beard. Speaking to Female First, the actor spilled: “It’s strange because me and Ryan are so close now. He’s a really good friend of mine, and we get on so well on set. “It helps because it can be difficult leaning in for a kiss with a beard. He’s great and I’m lucky to work with such a good lad.”

Danny and Robert’s characters had an unofficial wedding ceremony in 2017 but have since tied the knot legally on the soap.

He told the publication: “When Ryan and I began this journey I don’t think either of us knew where it was going to go. It was a kiss on a country lane and we didn’t know whether it would turn into an affair that was never going to go anywhere.

“Four years later we’re now tying the knot and making it official.”

Meanwhile, the couple have been embroiled in an explosive storyline which could see their marriage being tested and causing a serious strain.

The pair have expressed their interest in starting a family together and have since suggested surrogacy as an idea.

Aaron Dingle’s desperation to have a baby could see him betray the trust of his partner Robert.

His character was left distraught when Robert failed to show up to their surrogacy meeting like he’d promised, leaving him to sit awkwardly and chat about their family plans without the support of his husband.

In scenes to air this week, Aaron ends up attending the meeting alone and whilst he is there he ends up meeting Lucie (Susan Jayne Robinson) a surrogate mother.

The pair instantly click and Aaron tells her about his and Robert’s plans to start a family, whilst Lucie reveals she is looking for a new couple for her next surrogacy.

Aaron even goes as far to suggest the pair should meet outside of the event and catch up in the village.

However, instead of telling Robert about his breakthrough with Lucie, he instead lies and invites her to his home.

But it seemingly appears Robert’s plans are elsewhere and baby plans do not appear to be his main priority.

After failing to show up for the surrogacy meeting, he blamed his absence on meetings with clients which he insists is vital for business.

Eventually returning home he tells Aaron he has secured a contract which piques Aaron’s interests.

Fans of the couple who have been coined “Robron” will have to tune in found out how the storyline will play out, as one Twitter user said: “In terms of the surrogacy, I’ve decided not to get hung up on the ‘when’ of it all and just enjoy the different components and the storytelling of it #robron.”

Emmerdale continues tonight on ITV at 7pm.
