Scottish Cup draw ball numbers: What numbers are Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hearts?

Celtic claimed a 2-0 win at Hibernian yesterday to secure their place in the last four.

Brendan Rodgers may have suddenly departed this week to take on the Leicester job but his interim replacement Neil Lennon ensured the club remained on course for a domestic treble-treble.

James Forrest and skipper Scott Brown were on target, with Lennon describing the pair as “Celtic greats”.

He said: “Forrest and Brown – it was like going back in time to 2010, they were with me at that time.

“Nine years later, they are still outstanding footballers and for me they are two Celtic greats, still writing plenty of chapters for what time they have got left here.”

Also in action are rivals Rangers, who face a tricky quarter-final test away to Aberdeen this afternoon.

Rangers make the trip in buoyant mood after blasting 14 goals in their last three games – with none conceded.

It’s a different picture for Derek McInnes’ team, however, after the Reds’ stuttering home form saw them follow up a frustrating 2-2 draw with Premiership basement boys St Mirren with a nightmare 2-0 loss to strugglers Hamilton.

Dundee United vs Inverness and Partick Thistle vs Hearts make up the other quarter-final fixtures.

The semi-final draw will take place tomorrow (Monday) following the clash at Frill Stadium.

Fans will be able to watch the action live on BBC Scotland.

Semi-final ties are scheduled to be played over the weekend of April 13-14.
