Sophie Turner: Game of Thrones actress in co-star Maisie Williams ‘KISS’ bombshell

Sophie Turner, 23, rose to fame playing Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, alongside her on-screen sister Maisie Williams, 21, who stars as Arya Stark.

The two have built up a very close friendship since being cast for the roles and it seems they like to prank their co-stars.

Speaking ahead of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, Sophie, who is engaged to Joe Jonas, revealed people often mistake her and Maisie as a “couple”.

The British actress admitted she is “obsessed” with her friend and even goes so far as to stalk her hashtag on Instagram.

She told the publication: “Even though we are sisters [in Game of Thrones], we tried to sneak a kiss into every scene we did together to freak everyone out a bit.

“It kept them on their toes’ making sure they were following the script.”

The two stars revealed they always support each other and Sophie said if anything ever happened on Game of Thrones, Maisie would “go crazy and protect her”.

Maisie also said Sophie returns the favour and is always there for her to rely on.

“Sophie knows too much about me to not be my friend,” she divulged.

“I can’t tell you the amount of times Sophie said, ‘Go to therapy’ before I actually did.”

She continued: “She really helped me through some messy break-ups and some friend break-ups.

“Whenever I’m like, ‘I need help! This is bigger than anything I can sort out on my own’ Sophie is my point of call.”

Back in 2016, Sophie and Maisie cemented their friendship by getting matching tattoos.

The pair got the date, 07.08.09, which was when they landed their Game of Thrones roles, inked on their upper arms.

Meanwhile, Maisie recently spoke out about life after Game of Thrones and spilled on the “worst thing” about it.

The British actress told The Courier: “I will miss people being like, ‘Are you Arya Stark?’ because she’s such a cool character and people really freak out about it and that’s so exciting.

The worst thing will be people going, ‘Did you used to be on that show?’” she laughed. “Because that’s gonna suck.”

Maisie continued: “That will suck so bad. Because when I started you know like Breaking Bad was the big thing and if you saw Bryan Cranston now you’d be like ‘oh you used to do that show?’ and he went from being like ‘the man’ to, ‘yeah’.”

She added: “So that’s gonna suck. But I’m most excited to do new things.”

Maisie also admitted she’s ready to move onto “something new” and is “inspired” to try others things.

Game of Thrones season eight premieres on HBO on Sunday, April 14.

Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams’ latest interview is in this week’s Glamour.
