Pippa Middleton: Kate Middleton's sister looks radiant at British Heart Foundation ball

Pippa Middleton looked radiant when she attended a charity ball in London last night.

The 35-year-old made her first public appearance since the birth of her son at the Beating Hearts Ball in aid of the British Heart Foundation, which took place at The Guildhall.

The new mum, who is the sister of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, stepped out in a colourful Temperley London gown, featuring a fitted silhouette and a floaty full length skirt covered in an intricate geometric print.

The Canopy evening dress in black, pink and coral highlighted her slim figure and retails online for £1,397.

Pippa, who is married to James Matthews, 43, wore her hair in a stylish braid which ran along the right side of her face and wore elegant evening make-up.

She carried a small red clutch bad from Emmy London and added diamond earrings to her ensemble.

The beautiful brunette, who gave birth to the couple’s first child Arthur in October, is an ambassador for the charity which aims to fund research into all heart and circulatory diseases and Honorary Gala Chair.

Pippa, who revealed she had seen first hand the impact their life saving research has had on people living with the conditions, said of the event:

“It has been a fantastic evening and people have been very generous with their support. The money raised from the Ball will help fund research into cures and treatments for conditions like heart disease, stroke and vascular dementia, ending the heartbreak for families across the UK.”

The sports enthusiast has undertaken several personal challenges in order to raise money for the charity as well as creating a popular recipe book.

Pippa previously took part in the annual London to Brighton bike ride as well as a gruelling 3,000 mile Race Across American cycling challenge.

Vernon Kay hosted last night’s fundraising gala which saw 400 guests enjoy a three-course meal and charity auction as well as performances from Louisa Johnson and The Mac Twins.
