Lisa Sheridan: How did she die? What was CSI: Miami actress' cause of death age 44?

Lisa Sheridan was found dead at her home in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Monday morning, her manager Mitch Clem has confirmed.

He said he was “devastated” by their loss and revealed a cause of death is currently unknown.

He said to People: “We all loved Lisa very much and are devastated by the loss we all feel.

“She passed away Monday morning, at home, in her apartment in New Orleans.

“We are waiting for a coroners report on cause of death.”

Lisa’s manager adamantly denied she died by suicide in the statement released.

“The family has unequivocally confirmed that this is not a suicide,” Mitch added.

“Any suggestion to the contrary is absolutely, 100 per cent unfounded.”

Lisa starred in a number of US TV shows including CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Home Invasion, Scandal and Halt and Catch Fire.

Following the news of her death, tributes poured in for the American actress.

Filmmaker Michael Dunaway spoke about his memories of Lisa and said they were “true soulmates”.

Alongside a stunning shot of Lisa, he wrote on Facebook: “She called me Big Brother, and for all intents and purposes I was. I met Lisa when she was fourteen years old, over thirty years ago. We were immediately attached at the hip, true soulmates from minute one.

“For the rest of the days of her life, she was a central part of mine. She was beautiful, obviously, and an immensely talented actor, and a wonderful friend, but more than anything she really did radiate this impossibly bright energy and life.”

He continued: “Even in her dark moments. And she had plenty of those, especially over the last few years.

“I’m trying to take comfort in knowing your struggles and pain and grief are at last, and last behind you.”

Elsewhere, one of her former co-stars paid tribute on Twitter and said they worked together on TV show, Invasion.

Michael Goi said: “Devastated to find out that Lisa Sheridan, with whom I worked on “Invasion”, has passed away.

“I gave her a birthday card on our last day of filming. She read it and cried, and said she was going to keep it forever.”

Another friend of Lisa commented: “Sad news. I had just reconnected w/ Lisa. Such a kind soul who always encouraged me.

“I cherish the memories, sweet girl. So thankful to have known you.”(sic)
