Riverdale season three, episode 13 aired last night on The CW and featured Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy. Murray, however, will soon be leaving Riverdale to join the Katy Keene cast, where she will be joined by new recruits Camille Hyde and Lucien Laviscount. Katy Keene does not have a release date, plot, trailer or full cast yet, but we do know it is coming soon to The CW and, most likely, Netflix.
When is Katy Keene out?
The release date of the Riverdale spin-off has not been revealed.
The Katy Keene pilot is currently in pre-production, so it is likely the first episode will premiere late in 2019 followed by a full series in 2020.
However, with Riverdale such a massive hit for The CW, the network may decide to order the Katy Keene straight to series.
Riverdale and its sister show The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina air on Netflix in the UK and it is expected this new spin-off would follow suit.

Who is in the cast of Katy Keene?
On February 5, Ashleigh Murray was revealed to be leaving Riverdale to star in the new spin-off.
She will be playing an older version of her Riverdale character Josie McCoy, though it has not been revealed whether she will be joined in the Katy Keene cast by the rest of her band, the Pussycats.
Who will be playing Katy Keene has not been revealed, though a number of publications have noticed the character’s similarity to Katy Perry.
Camille Hyde and Lucien Laviscount have recently been cast as rich-kids siblings Alexandra and Alexander Cabot.

What will happen in Katy Keene?
According to TV Line, the plot synopsis for the Riverdale spin-off reads: “Katy Keene is a musical dramedy that follows the titular fashionista and her friends to New York City, where they strive ‘to make it on Broadway, on the runway and in the recording studio,’ per the network.”
When Murray was announced as a new cast member, The CW released further details of what will happen in Katy Keene.
The CW said: “A now 20-something Josie McCoy sets off on a new adventure to make it in the big city.
“More determined than ever to break into the music scene as the next Diana Ross, Josie finds herself forging new friendships, falling into new relationships, and, one day, becoming the star she is destined to be.”

Is there a trailer for Katy Keene?
There is currently no promo for the Riverdale spin-off from The CW.
When the show goes into production, The CW is expected to release some promo images, with a trailer likely to appear in autumn 2019.
