P30 Pro may have just been outed and here's how it could differ from the P20 Pro

Huawei P30 Pro is one of the most anticipated Android flagship of the year.

That is because its predecessor, the P20 Pro, was not only critically acclaimed, but it was also incredibly popular amongst Android enthusiasts.

The P30 Pro will be unveiled by Huawei on March 26 in Paris and looks set to introduce dramatically improved zoom functionality.

Huawei has been teasing such a feature on its Twitter account and has even used the phrase “a better zoom is coming”.

Although the P30 Pro is not expected to arrive for another month, it appears a new leak has outed the device’s rear panel in full.

Digital Trends insisted it was shown an “operational prototype” of the handset at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona and posted images of it.

The claimed P30 Pro was shown with a triple-camera system on its rear that was housed on a singular module as opposed to the P20 Pro that had two lenses on one module and positioned the third separately.

Photos of the handset showed it to have a shiny chrome aesthetic, a coloured home button and no headphone jack.

Digital Trends declared it was not able to discuss the front of the phone that was a “dummy unit”.

Most notably, the outlet said it was given the chance to see the P30 Pro unintentionally.

It was noted the publication was initially expecting to enter a demo room for the tech giant’s new range of laptops.

While the new leak appears to give a glimpse into a forthcoming Huawei smartphone, it may not necessarily be the P30 Pro.

That is because Huawei’s next flagship has been rumoured to tout four cameras on its rear, rather than three.

Alleged renders of the hardware that emerged courtesy of case manufacturer Olixar showed the claimed P30 Pro with four modules and an all-screen design.

Additionally, Huawei’s CEO, Richard Yu, recently took to Weibo and posted an image that appeared to be from a Huawei P30 Pro.

The image was a zoomed in shot of the moon that featured a device watermark at the bottom.

While some of the text was covered up, it appeared to say “quad camera”.

Moreover, the words between “Huawei” and “Pro” were blurred, suggesting it had not been taken from a Huawei phone that is currently for sale.

While Digital Trends was eager to claim the phone it saw was the P30 Pro, it is possible this is instead Huawei’s regular P30 device.

The standard Huawei P30 has been rumoured to arrive with three cameras.

While the new leak does appear to provide a tantalising glimpse into a future Huawei product, it is worth noting nothing about the handset has been officially discussed by the firm.

Instead, it is expected the Chinese OEM will discuss everything about the P30 Pro on March 26 in Paris.
