Xbox Live WARNING: Download two Xbox One Free Games ahead of Gold reveal

It won’t be long before Microsoft reveal their official Xbox Games with Gold lineup for March 2019.

But before then, the tech giant is also giving fans the chance to try out two Xbox exclusive games for free.

Microsoft has been providing Xbox Live Gold subscribers with free trials at the weekend over the past couple of weeks.

And there is still time to try out the latest batch for Xbox One and Xbox One X.

Both Halo Wars: Definitive Edition and Halo Wars 2 are available to download now if you have an active Gold subscription.

But time is running out for those who want to check out the RTS Halo titles for free.

Both will be removed in the early hours of Monday morning in the UK, and on Sunday at 11:59 p.m. PT in the United States.

To download on console, fans can click on the Gold member area on the home dashboard on their Xbox One.

And the good news for those who enjoy the games and want to keep playing, both will be discounted for the free trial this weekend.

This will also mean keeping your Gamerscore and achievements earned in-game, so you can continue your progress. Here’s more from Microsoft on their new free play events, which will be continuing throughout 2019:

“One of the perks of an Xbox Live Gold membership: Xbox Free Play Days! These special events are exclusive to Gold members, giving you the opportunity to play select, fully featured hot games for free.

“All points earned and purchased DLC carries over if you purchase the game at the end of the free period.

“Don’t have a Gold membership yet? No problem! All Xbox Live members can play online with friends for free during Xbox Free Play Days for All events.”

These new Xbox One game trials will be followed by another big announcement for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

Microsoft will be revealing their new lineup of Games with Gold titles for March later this week.

The tech giant is expected to make the announcement close to the end of the month.

There has been no leaks or suggestions on what could be included, but fans will be hoping for some top AAA picks.

Until then, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can either download and play the Halo Wars titles or grab the remaining Games with Gold selection from February.

This includes Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, which will be disappearing on February 28.

There is also Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy available to download on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

The last remaining title, Super Bomberman R, will be rolling over until March, being replaced as part of a mid-month refresh of the Xbox One store.
