Warriors star Kevin Durant provides BIG update on Draymond Green injury after Rockets loss

But his team-mate Kevin Durant isn’t too worried about the problem.

The Warriors sit top of the Western Conference and will be in the playoffs – something Durant alluded to.

Green suffered a sprained left ankle in the fourth quarter against the Rockets.

He stepped on the foot of team-mate DeMarcus Cousins which caused the issue and he didn’t return for the closing stages.

“I mean, he’ll be back for the playoffs,” he explained.

“That’s the only thing we worry about here, right?”

Green is confident he won’t miss any action at all though for the Warriors and explained how he will overcome the problem.

He said: “Head in for some treatment before the flight, see how it goes.

“I had already sprained the same ankle in the first quarter so when I stepped on DeMarcus’ foot it just reaggravated the same sprain.

“It was painful. But I’ll be alright, I’ll be fine.”

The Warriors lost 118-112 to the Rockets – the third time they have lost to them this season.

What made the win even more impressive for Houston is they did it without James Harden.

Golden State have won the NBA Championship for the last three years.

The Warriors return to action against the Charlotte Hornets at midnight GMT on Tuesday.

Durant, Curry and co. will look to put in a much better performance and get back to winning ways.
