Lion King teaser trailer: How baby lion cub Simba is winning hearts of fans EVERYWHERE

Disney has dropped its second trailer for the upcoming live action remake of “The Lion King”. The one-minute teaser trailer was released during Sunday’s Oscars ad-breaks. The latest trailer has striking similarities to the original animated movie from 1994, with scenes from “The Circle of Life” as the sun rises and Rifiki lifts Simba over the kingdom. And although the new footage didn’t reveal much about the movie, fans seems to be all in their feels.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “KEEP FEEDING ME LION KING TRAILERS TILL I DIE”.

While another said: “Not sure if I’ve ever seen a movie trailer that made me more excited to see a movie than the Lion King remake trailer”.

A third wrote while watching the Oscars: “Give Lion King best picture this year just for the trailer”.

Ever since the musicians were confirmed for the cast, people have been desperate to see how the artists would take on their roles.

However, fans did get treated to a new line in the latest teaser, with Mufasa actor James Earl Jones saying: “It is time.”

The voice cast includes James Earl Jones, returning to his original role as Mufasa from the original film, Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce as Nala and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar.

Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner also have roles in the upcoming feature.

In addition to the teaser, Disney also shared a new poster for The Lion King, showing Mufasa standing with little Simba sat in front of him.

So far, the new trailer has been viewed about 511,000 times on Disney’s YouTube Channel, 14 hours after its release.

The first teaser trailer became Disney’s most watched trailer in a day, with a whopping record of 224.6 million views in its first 24 hours.

The Lion King isn’t the only big remake from Disney this year, as the mass media company is rebooting a number of its classics this year.

On March 29, a live-action version of “Dumbo” will be released while “Aladdin” is arriving on May 24.

The Lion King will be in theatres on July 19, 2019.
