Captain Marvel: Brie Larson gives nod to Marvel in silver goddess dress on the red carpet

This year’s Oscars show was mired in controversy from go. From proceeding without a host to cutting a myriad of awards from the televised show, The Oscars had an uphill battle. But one thing undeniably stunning about this year’s ceremony was the red carpet dresses.

Brie Larson’s dress at this year’s Oscars was a floor-length silver metallic Celine gown – which could have been a subtle nod to her upcoming role as Captain Marvel.

The dress had a high halterneck front and a major thigh-high slit – the gown which shimmered on the red carpet was similar to the metallic outfits the actress will wear as Captain Marvel.

Her dress was paired with silver metallic strappy Jimmy Choo heels and silver diamond earrings.

Larson’s hair, styled by celebrity hairstylist Bryce Scarlett, was platinum blonde in colour with root-shadowed locks.

Her cheeks were blushed cheek complimented by a rosy-nude creamy matte lip.

Though Larson was not up for an award this year, she has won an Oscar before.

In 2016, Larson won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Room.

Larson looked the ultimate queen of the superheroes as she dazzled and posed for pictures with Marvel co-star Samuel L Jackson.

Jackson wore a navy blue suit with black lapels and black shoes, pairing perfectly with Larson’s metallic-silver dress.
