Apex Legends: New Legends UPDATE following character hitbox reveal

Data miners expect at least one new Apex Legends character to be released in March.

This will be part of Season 1 of the new game but won’t be directly tied to the Battle Pass.

So far, a short list of possible New Legends characters has been found that could be part of the big March update.

This includes two new Legends called Octane and Wattson, both of which look fleshed out enough for inclusion.

And now a third Apex Legends character has been reportedly found by data miners.

Respawn Entertainment is expected to announce a new character called Prophet in the coming months.

Prophet does not have a release date and has not been revealed by Respawn yet; however, data miners believe it will have an ability called “Precog”.

This would likely provide some kind of extra information about the map or an event that has yet to happen.

No further details have been shared about this potential recruit, or when it might drop into the game.

This latest information was provided by Gaming Intel and comes with the disclaimer that there isn’t much else to share about the character right now.

Octane seems like a good candidate for inclusion next, having had a lot of information leaked so far about it.

The new character is expected to have a Stimpack ability which is probably connected to the Titanfall 2 Stim.

The T2 Stim provided a boost to speed by doubling it and also healed the player after a short delay.

It’s unclear if this is what the stimpack will do in Apex Legends, or if it has undergone some serious changes.

It follows news that Apex Legends characters have differently sized hitboxes, affecting who is easier to hit in-game.

Pathfinder has been confirmed as having a much bigger hitbox than Bloodhound, which provides an obvious disadvantage for fans.

Respawn has confirmed that they are looking into the disproportionate hitboxes between legends, but don’t have a fix for it yet.

“We are definitely aware of it, and we were actually discussing it today,” a message from Respawn reads.

“I can’t say anything more for now, but we hear you guys.”

There’s a chance that this issue could be tackled in one of the game’s upcoming updates, with plenty of time to fix the issues before season 1 begins.
