Louise Redknapp, 44, was previously married to football pundit Jamie Redknapp, 45, and shares two sons with him: Charley, 14, and Beau, 10. The Eternal singer took to Instagram to share a short video clip as she watched her eldest take part in a rugby match but admitted it was difficult to watch. In view of her 601,000 followers, she said: “So I’m watching Chaz play rugby and these boys are huge! “So scary to watch.”
The video showed the young boys taking part in the game, with Louise adding a caption to the clip: “Still can’t believe how big my Chaz is. What happened?”
The singer officially divorced Jamie in December 2017 but revealed in a recent interview with Jamie Theakston and Lucy Horobin on London’s Heart Radio the pair are still “friends”.
She said: “It’s been really tough. But I mean, you know, he’s my best friend.
“I saw him yesterday and it was all good. We had school meetings and stuff, like you do, so all good.”
Lucy interjected: “A mature way of dealing with things.”
To which Louise replied: “Absolutely.”
Meanwhile, the stage performer yesterday shared a cryptic message with her social media followers which said “everything happens for a reason”.
The singer spoke of “smiling through the tears” as she wished her fans all the best for the day.
The post read: “Someday, everything will make perfect sense. So for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason.”
She captioned the emotional quote: “Have a beaut Saturday x.”(sic)
The sentimental message received over 5,000 likes, with Love Island presenter Caroline Flack liking the post while others commented on it.
