Liverpool captain Henderson in furious bust up with Jurgen Klopp, THIS is what was said

The Liverpool captain was taken off late in the second half for Xherdan Shaqiri.

And the England international didn’t seem best pleased, as him and his manager had a war of words.

It’s likely that Henderson will have felt upset with the decision to withdraw him from the field.

Jurgen Klopp could not be blamed for a final roll of the dice with his side desperate for three points.

He appeared to be upset that Henderson didn’t shake his hand and asked his midfielder why he snubbed him.

Henderson appeared to bark back at Klopp but the petty exchange was the least of their worries at full-time.

The Reds went back to the top of the Premier League despite having played a game more than their rivals Manchester United.

The German was forced into a change of plan when Roberto Firmino hobbled off with an ankle injury.

Manchester United were also hit with three first half injuries meaning Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had to use all his subs before the interval.

“It was a strange game,” Klopp told Sky Sports.

“We started really well. All the injuries in the game obviously cost us rhythm. It happened to us with ‘Bobby’ and that was a catastrophe.

“United played with a completely new midfield and three up front. We lost our rhythm and couldn’t get it back.

“It was a game without a lot of highlights – it was intense. On days when United are beatable you have to do it and we didn’t do it.

“We have a point more and Wednesday is our next game.”
