PS4 FREE GAME: New PlayStation game free to download with a PS Plus twist

PS4 gamers have the chance of snapping up another great deal if they are planning to use the PlayStation Plus subscription service for the next 12 months.

Rainbow Six Siege can be downloaded and played by PlayStation gamers right now as part of a new deal from Sony.

This deal works best for those who regularly use the PS Plus for their favourite games, or recently tested out R6 on the PS4.

Ubisoft made their popular shooter available for everyone to play last weekend and have now followed up with this great deal.

The new bundle can be found on the PlayStation Store and includes a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership with a free copy of Rainbow Six Siege.

This is separate from the current PS Plus February 2019 games lineup that can be downloaded as part of an existing subscription.

Unlike the past free trials made available by Sony, this version of Rainbow Six Siege will remain available forever, however, the deal only appears to be available to those who have not had an active PS Plus subscription before.

The deal will be available on PS4 consoles until March 3, at which time it will be removed by Sony.

The tech giant warns that it could take up to 48 hours for Rainbow Six Siege to appear in your digital library.

The deal costs just $60 in the United States and is a good bundle for those who are ready to play R6 over the coming months.

And the good news is that it can also be snapped up in the UK for 49.99, with the deal expiring on March 4.

“To be eligible for this offer, you must have a PSN account which never had an active PlayStation Plus membership (14 days trial excluded),” a message from PlayStation reads.

“Following the purchase of this product, you will receive immediate access to PlayStation Plus benefits such as online multiplayer on other titles, monthly games, and exclusive discounts on PS Store.

“Your accompanying Rainbow Six Siege game, however, will activate up to 96 hours after purchase.”

It would certainly be good timing to sign up if you were looking to join in on Year 4 of Rainbow Six Siege.

The first expansion, Burnt Horizon, was revealed earlier this month and will add two new operators to the game.

A new map – called Outback – is also included and is described as a roadhouse in the middle of the sunburnt country.

The new map is comprised of three main buildings joined together in an L-shape, and each one has colour-coded accents to help you get oriented.

Here’s more from Ubisoft, who confirmed: “There’s a stuffed shark, a rodeo bull, and a host of other landmarks to help with callouts, as well as plenty of breakable walls and floors for our two new Operators to destroy using their Super Shorty shotgun sidearms.”

Unlike past weekends, there are no new PS4 free trials to download and play over the coming days.

Sony has been on a roll of late, offering fans the chance of playing Tetris Effect for free on PS4 and PSVR earlier this month.

There hopes that more free trial demos will be made available in March, following the upcoming PlayStation Store refresh.
