P20 Pro camera could soon be outclassed by a new Huawei phone

Huawei P20 Pro debuted back in March last year, meaning the phone is almost a year old.

However, the device still remains incredibly popular amongst Android fans thanks to its legion of appealing features.

P20 Pro comes with a 6.1-inch AMOLED display that has a resolution of 1080×2240 and a density of 408-pixels-per-inch.

The panel itself offers vibrant colours and great viewing angles.

P20 Pro’s screen can be powered all day thanks to the phone’s huge 4,000mAh battery.

The camera system on the Huawei handset is by far its standout feature and is still one of the most capable on the market.

P20 Pro comes with a 40-megapixel main sensor that is accompanied by a 20-megapixel monochrome lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto system.

In addition to being the first device to flaunt a triple-camera array, the P20 Pro was also premier to come with a dedicated night mode.

The software ensured the P20 Pro was able to capture brighter and more detailed shots in low-light conditions.

However, it appears the camera system offered by the P20 Pro is set to be outclassed by its successor, the P30 Pro.

Huawei P30 Pro will be unveiled by the firm at a hardware event in Paris taking place on March 26.

The handset has been heavily rumoured to present fans with a substantial upgrade when compared to its predecessor.

In fact, it appears the P30 Pro will come with four cameras on its rear.

Huawei’s CEO, Richard Yu, recently took to Weibo and posted an image that appeared to be from the P30 Pro.

The photo seemed to be a zoomed shot of the moon and featured a watermark in the bottom left-hand corner.

While the CEO had covered some of the words in the watermark that stated what phone the image was taken on, it was distinguishable the words “Leica quad camera” were written.

Moreover, the characters in-between “Huawei” and “Pro” were covered in an attempt to conceal the phone model.

Neither the P20 Pro nor Mate 20 Pro have a quadruple camera.

This suggests the photo was taken on a new device from the firm that is presumed to be the P30 Pro.

While it is unclear what the function of each lens will be, it does appear the P30 Pro will flaunt an improved zoom.

Huawei recently took to Twitter to promote its forthcoming exhibition in the French capital and stated “a better zoom is coming”.

This particular caption was showcased with an image that displayed a jungle scene.

The photo was split in half with the right-hand side exhibiting a segment of the first shot that had been zoomed-in.

The snap appears to showcase the quality of photography the P30 Pro could deliver when it comes to zoomed captures.

Huawei will take to the stage in Paris on March 26 where it will reveal its P30-series of smartphones.
