Liverpool star Mohamed Salah: People said I was crazy for THIS reason

The Reds take on Manchester United tomorrow and know a point will send them back to the top of the table.

Liverpool have impressed this season with Salah netting 17 times and providing eight assists in the top flight.

And the Egyptian says it would be a dream to lift the Premier League trophy.

Salah told ESPN Brasil: “It’s a dream, to be honest.

“It was one of my dreams when I came – to win the Premier League.

“Maybe the people were saying it was crazy, but it was in my mind always to come here and win the Premier League.

“I said it last season, I said it at the beginning of the season and now we are close. I hope we are going to win it. We will do our best to win it.”

Salah accepts there is pressure for Liverpool to end their title drought but he is confident the Reds will do everything they can to win the title.

He added: “Of course there is pressure because you are a human being, you feel that and you want to win the Premier League – something huge for the club, the city, the fans everywhere. But you just need to win the game.

“Now it’s more because you’re just close to the end, so there is more pressure.

“But at the end of the day, the next game, the three points, is very important, like the first game of the season.

“But the people don’t take it like that. They take it like: ‘OK, there’s a pressure now’. But in the beginning of the season you need to win the game to get the three points to be here now.

“So now you are top of the table or second and you have one game in hand, so you just need to be calm and play football.”

Salah admitted his move to Liverpool has gone even better than he expected though.

He added: “Yeah, I can say that at the moment.

“Everything I felt now, I already had in my mind before. It’s something I expected.

“Sometimes it’s more than what I expect but I’m happy about that.”

Liverpool take on Manchester United at 2.05pm tomorrow.
