Joe Joyce makes Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury claim ahead of Bermane Stiverne bout

Joyce is one of most promising up-and-coming heavyweights in the division with seven stoppages from as many fights, despite being 33-years-old.

He turned professional less than two years ago but is already making a solid name for himself in the most dangerous division of them all.

So much so, Joyce has earned his place on the undercard on James DeGale vs Chris Eubank Jr as the penultimate fight of the night.

He takes on his toughest opponent yet in Bermane Stiverne, who took Deontay Wilder the distance in 2015 before losing his WBC title via an unanimous decision.

The Haitian-Canadian boxer then suffered a first-round knockout in the rematch.

It is those two matches against the Bronze Bomber which makes Stiverne such a tricky opponent.

However, Joyce could not have had better practice partners as he looks to ramp up his game to the next level.

But Joyce feels the power of WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Joshua is a class apart of his rivals.

“Power-wise, I think Anthony Joshua is obviously going to take that,” Joyce told ITV Boxing.

“Skill-wise and awkwardness is definitely Tyson Fury.

“Dillian Whyte, when I was amateur, that’s when I thought him and I had only maybe had under ten fights or something like that!

“We’ve both progressed a lot since then so I can’t really say anything to that.

“But he is a strong, durable, tough guy.”

Joyce and Stiverne will warm-up for the main event of DeGale vs Eubank Jr.

However, Eubank Jr will not have his father in his corner for the fight, according to the youngster’s trainer Nate Vasquez.

“As far as I know Eubank Sr is not going to be in the corner,” Vasquez told Express Sport.
