Dancing On Ice 2019: Gemma Collins to 'RETURN' after show receives shock blow

Gemma was the fifth person to leave the ITV competition in what was no doubt a disappointment for fans who wanted more.

However, they will be pleased to hear there’s more to come for the The Only Way Is Essex star on Dancing On Ice.

The Daily Star reports Gemma will be back on the ice in preparation for the big Dancing On Ice finale.

The last instalment of the series is set to air next Sunday, March 3.

The return comes after a big fall in ratings for the programme following Gemma’s exit.

On the weekend Gemma performed for the final time before being booted out, 6.5 million viewers were tuned in.

However, the following weekend, over two and half million fans had tuned out.

When Ryan Sidebottom and Jane Danson were sent home in a double elimination only 3.7 million were watching.

Gemma certainly made an impression when she was on the programme as she exchanged some cross words with Jason Gardiner.

The pair became the centre of attention for much of the show, although in her final weeks their relationship appeared to have mellowed.

On her exit, Gemma declared she probably wouldn’t keep skating up as a hobby.

Host Holly Willoughby asked if she would return to the ice, to which Gemma replied “probably not”.

Fans will remember Gemma also had quite a memorable fall on the ice.

During her 3rd routine, Gemma ended up fall over face-first onto the ground and subsequently injured her knee.

There are now five stars left in the competition, including Brain McFadden, James Jordan, Wes Nelson, Saara Aalto and Melody Thornton.

But it could be Brian who gets the chop tomorrow, as Coral bookmakers is odds-on for an exit at 4-6.

A spokesperson said: “Brian has had a great run on Dancing On Ice but the betting suggests his time on the show will come to an end this weekend as he is the odds-on favourite in our elimination market.”

Meanwhile, Lose Island star Wes could find himself taking the winning title as he is currently the favourite for victory.

Wes is tipped for a win with odds of 4-6.

Dancing On Ice continues tomorrow at 6pm on ITV.
