The 48-year-old movie star of The Hangover and Due Date has been found dead in Los Angeles and the police are reportedly investigating the cause of death as an apparent suicide, according to The Blast.
The star was found just before 1pm yesterday and investigators are still believed to be at the scene.
According to the publication’s sources, LAPD was dispatched to the scene and investigators spoke with his family where audio was obtained obtained from the emergency dispatchers where officials described the scene as a “hanging.”
The comedian – who played a police officer in The Hangover – was a regular on the Los Angeles comedy scene, with performances at clubs in the city.
A statement from Brody’s representatives told the publication: “Brody was an inspiring voice who was a friend to many in the comedy community.
“He pushed creative boundaries and his passion for his work and his love of baseball were contagious.
