Ivanka Trump’s AWKWARD reaction as Angela Merkel ATTACKS Donald Trump at Munich Conference

The First Daughter watched the German Chancellor argue against Germany’s cars being a “security threat” to the US. Angela Merkel said she was “shocked” that the Trump administration was considering labelling German cars as a threat. She continued to justify her shock with the fact America is a leading manufacturer of Germany’s cars.

But Ivanka wasn’t having any of it.

Ivanka was sat in a crowd as people surrounding her laughed and clapped for the German Chancellor.

However, she stayed silent and stared blankly while listening to the speech through a pair of headphones she chose not to fully wear.

Angela Merkel said at the Munich security conference: “Apparently the Secretary of Trade says German cars are a threat to America’s national security.

“We’re proud of our automotive industry and we are proud of our cars.

“They are built in the united states of America.

“South Carolina is one of the largest, actually the largest, BMW plant not in Bavaria.

“South Carolina is supplying China.

“When these cars that are built in South Carolina are not becoming less threatening rather than the ones that are built in Bavaria are supposed to be a threat to the national security of America, it’s a bit of a shock to us.”

Trump has previously stated imports from China are also a national security threat as a way to impose tariffs.

Germany’s car industry has created 113,000 jobs in America in about 300 factories.

The industry is the largest car exporter from the US.

Ivanka wrote on Twitter: “It was a pleasure to once again be with Chancellor Merkel.

“She is a tremendous champion of vocational education in both Germany and around the world.

“I have learned so much from her in our conversations and look forward to our continued work together.”
