EastEnders spoilers: Mel Owen makes DANGEROUS move after losing Hunter

EastEnders’ favourite, Mel Owen (played by Tamzin Outhwaite), has been going through a tough time recently.

She lost her child, Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter) to prison after he murdered evil Ray Kelly (Sean Mahon).

And tonight, her problems seemed to get a lot worse and she’s turned to alcohol.

Later on, she clashed with Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) who tried to buy part of E20 off her.

They took their argument out on to the street where thankfully, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), was on hand to break them up.

Later on, Mel went to apologise to Ian Beale’s (Adam Woodyatt) mother for being rude to her earlier in the day.

Kathy went to make her son’s ex a cup of tea and left Mel to make her apologies.

But Mel spotted something on the table which certainly caught her eye.

One of Ian’s bank statements was left in full view and she spotted he had over £71,000 in his account.

As well, the statement contained his account number and sort code, meaning she had all the information she needed to make a transfer.

While eyeing up the dosh, Mel said to Kathy: “You helped me remember exactly what I’m capable of.”

Gold-digger Mel could be about to steal every one of Ian’s hard-earned pennies in order to pay off her own debts.

But will she find some resistance on the other side? And will it land her in the same place Hunter is at?

Sharon Mitchell didn’t have it much easter on tonight’s EastEnders.

She crossed Mel and it seems the two fiery women have drawn up their battle lines.

But earlier in the week, she was also dealt another blow when she discovered her toy boy had been beaten up.

Husband, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) sent Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) to Spain on a dodgy mission and it didn’t go well.

After discovering his garage mate was attacked, Phil got in a car and headed straight to the airport to get him back.

But will he suffer the same fate as Keanu?

EastEnders continues Monday on BBC One at 8pm.
