What is multiboxing, I hear you ask? For those NOT in the know, I’m about to reveal all.
This is not Nintendo! This is referred to as a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG). It is a mix of role-playing video games and MMORPG. Gamers normally play one character at a time, however serious, adept players seem to prefer the challenge that comes with MMORPG.
Multiboxing enables users to play more than one character at the same time, increasing both the difficulty and the challenge. With multiboxing software, users are able to control up to 5 characters.
There are many multiboxing softwares available for PCs and MACs, but today the spotlight is on PwnBoxer. For those I know who are into it – PwnBoxer is their software of choice and World of Warcraft (WoW) is their game of choice. This game is not free, but it’s incredibly popular and a great platform for multiboxing.
In order to multibox successfully with WOW, you need to make sure you have the following:
• One registered account per game character, so if you have 3 characters, you need 3 accounts, and multiple copies of the game.
• You also need a computer with enough power to “broadcast” commands to all games you are running using your PwnBoxer software.
