Emmerdale spoilers: 'Not long to go' Claire King teases EPIC Kim Tate return in shock post

Kim Tate (played by Claire King) sent shockwaves through Emmerdale last year when she made an unexpected appearance at Home Farm.

Despite the businesswoman spending 20 years away from The Dales, villagers did not greet her warmly.

In fact, she almost got into it with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) at the event she gatecrashed during her debut.

But her troublesome ways landed her in deep trouble and in a matter of weeks she was arrested and sent to prison.

However, she is set to return to the ITV series later this year, with actress Claire teasing her imminent comeback.

Hinting her on-screen persona will be back sooner than expected, the TV star shared some good news with her fans online.

On her Twitter account, she told her 3,059 followers: “Not long to go….. #KimsBack #Emmerdale #KimTate.”

In a second post, the 56-year-old former Coronation Street star wrote: “The B***h Is Back…. #Emmerdale #KimTate.”

Fans of the star were thrilled by her announcement and took to the comment section to share their excitement.

One person wrote: “Finally I’ve been waiting months for this,” as a second said: “Yayyy! I just might start watching it again.”(sic)

A third commentator shared: “The Queen B***h of Emmerdale will return,” while a fourth exclaimed: “I’m so excited!”

Viewers may only have to wait a couple of weeks for Kim’s return, as Claire previously revealed her character would back on screen between the end of February and the beginning of March.

Claire confirmed her comeback on Twitter back in January after a fan asked her when she would be reprising the role.

Responding, she said: “On screen end Feb/beginning of March. I’m back filming in Jan!”

Discussing why she returned to the series in the first place, the actress explained: “I think because there was already a Tate name in Home Farm.

“So it made it easier than having some random old bit coming in and everyone going, ‘Who the hell is this?’

“So I think it made more of an easy, smooth [transition].”

She went on to tell The Mirror: “I fancied not driving another four or five hours across the Pennines to Manchester!

“I just thought it would be great fun and I still knew people here. I mean, Chris Chittell (Eric Pollard) was texting me and saying ‘Kingy it’s still the same work ethic, it’s great’.”

Emmerdale continues tonight on ITV at 7pm.
