Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, revealed how she lost three stone.
The actress shrunk from a size 14 to a 12 thanks to the Mediterranean diet.
Sue adopted a new diet in 2016, eating healthily.
She is said to have been motivated my her husband and son.
A source told told Woman magazine about the 54-year-old: “Sue was always a self-confessed foodie, who admitted that over-indulgence was her Achilles Heel. Now everything’s changed.”
They added: ““Sue’s in her mid 50s so it was a no brainer that cutting down on certain things was what she had to do.
“She’s in this for the long game and wants to live a long, happy and healthy life.”
Sue has been cycling to supplement her new diet.
The actress, who is a diabetic, collapsed on set in 2011 due to the condition.
Medics were called, and she was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

The NHS said: “The Mediterranean diet varies by country and region, so it has a range of definitions.
“But in general, it’s high in vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, beans, cereals, grains, fish, and unsaturated fats such as olive oil.
“It usually includes a low intake of meat and dairy foods.”
