Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec: 'It's a big decision' Strictly stars share baby news

Strictly Come Dancing pros Aljaž Škorjanec, 29, and Janette Manrara, 35, who married in 2017, admitted they are keen to have children, but not just yet due to their busy schedules. Speaking on Lorraine, the pair were quizzed on their family plans by stand-in host Christine Lampard. Janette said: “Especially as a woman, it’s a big decision for me – whenever we do decide to have a child. “We talk about it all the time because we adore kids, like you should see us when we are around babies, we get so broody.”

Aljaž then joked: “I think I am a baby.”

Laughing, Janette added: “We are definitely going to have children but right now our careers are on such a high.

“We are enjoying dancing so much and we are enjoying being on Strictly so much and the opportunities that are being given at the moment like Remembering The Movies and these incredible projects we take part in,” she added. “We can’t let those go just yet.”

Back in December, the couple revealed they had moved into a new place together after tying the knot in 2017.

Janette revealed the news to her fans via her vlog on YouTube titled Talks with Janette Last Dance (Part 1).

The professional dancer showcased her new grey-themed bedroom to her fans, telling the camera: “This is my new room in my new home.

“I’m not going to show you all of it, it’s a mess. I made my bed!”

She added: “So excited to be in my new place!”

“I didn’t know I had that much to move, I left everything a little bit last minute.”

Aljaž and Janette exchanged vows in three different ceremonies for family reasons.

The former told OK! Magazine: “The main reason is because our grandmas can’t travel.

“None of them can fly eight or nine hours, so this way they get to see us getting married.”

Janette added: “It was the happiest two weeks of our lives.

“To say we got to walk down the aisle, exchange our vows and celebrate our marriage three times is really nice.

“Most people only have the one day. We would do it all again – all three weddings were just perfect.”

The couple’s main ceremony included their former Strictly co-stars Louise Redknapp, Frankie Bridge and Daisy Lowe and fellow pros.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
