James Bond: THIS contender to replace Daniel Craig just addressed rumours

Henry Golding’s career skyrocketed when he had a major role in last year’s huge smash Crazy Rich Asians, and he was also the male lead in the well-received black comedy A Simple Favour. As such, while he hasn’t become one of the bookies’ favourites, he has become a popular choice among fans. So will it happen?

A TMZ paparazzi photographer cornered him at the LAX airport with questions about the prospect.

A visibly uncomfortable Golding remained coy as he said: “I couldn’t possibly say anything about that.”

When the photographer asked if his hiring could be a big moment for the franchise, which has thus far cast only white men as James Bond, he said: “Maybe.”

Pushed on whether he’d accept the part if the producers came knocking, Golding only repeated “can’t possibly say”, as he moved to avoid the cameraman.

As such, Scott Z. Burns has allegedly been hired to complete emergency re-writes.

Burns has a proven track record with success, thanks to his work on the likes of The Bourne Ultimatum, Contagion and the upcoming ensemble drama The Laundromat.

He has also stepped in to help salvage the likes of Ocean’s 12 and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Bond 25 is out on April 8, 2020.
