Jenny Ryan: The Chase's Vixen reveals truth behind mystery on ITV game show

The 37-year-old quizzer took to Twitter to answer some of The Chase viewer’s questions about the show last week. Jenny Ryan, AKA The Vixen, faced a different kind of quizzing from fans, with one asking about the silhouette of a Chaser which is visible in their chair at the end of the intro sequence which airs at the beginning of each episode. “Is it a cardboard cut-out that Bradley turns to at the end of the intro or the actual Chaser?” the fan asked. “Neither…” Jenny replied enigmatically, in view of her 43,000 followers.

Fans took to the comments section to chip in which their take on the phenomenon, with one saying: “It’s a different member of the production crew each time, isn’t it?”

“Is it someone in the audience?” another asked, while a third social media user replied: “No audience on the non-celeb shows. Canned laughter.”

“You tease, you,” a fourth fan called Jenny, while a fifth insisted: “A member of the production crew.”

When it comes to the identity of the mystery figure, The Chase viewers will have to ponder a little longer as Jenny chose not to give any more information away.

The Vixen has been a Chaser on the show since 2015 and has appeared in over 100 episodes.

She is a big hit with fans and is famous for her glamorous appearance and fiery red beehive ‘do.

Last week, The Chase favourite Jenny Ryan revealed she had been awkwardly “evicted” from her seat by EastEnders star Dean Gaffney, 41.

Once again taking to twitter, she said: “I have just been evicted from my booked train seat in favour of Dean Gaffney.

“Oh, the indignity.”

Jenny later added: “Sometimes a Twitter whine works — Dean has sent his apologies and a cupcake. Ta, Dean!”

She also told an outraged fan the situation was “all okay” and explained Dean had needed the carriage for filming.

“It’s all okay — they needed the carriage to dilm something, and I’m in a nice comfy seat just two carriages down now,” she said.

“They were very apologetic and I now have a yummy cake!”

“To be fair, it is his birthday (which I only remember because it’s also mine),” a fan commented, while another said: “You should have demanded quiz-off to decide who got the seat.”

“He’s got the whole bloomin’ carriage,” Jenny reminded them lightheartedly.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
